The first day of the 2018 NFL Draft has come and gone. It was a good one for the Chicago Bears, who ended up selecting Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith with the eighth overall pick. In adding the Butkus Award winner, the Bears added a pro-ready linebacker who has the athleticism, instincts, and the tackling ability to make an immediate impact on their defense.
However, they still have a myriad of needs entering Day 2. They also only have a second-round pick at the moment, as their third-round pick was traded to the San Francisco 49ers last year to trade up for Mitchell Trubisky.
