According to the latest Chicago Bears rumors, the Dallas Cowboys reached out to the Bears about a possible Matt Forte trade earlier this season.
FWIW, was told the week going into opening week that the #Cowboys had called & checked in on Forte but Fox (not Pace) didn't want him moved.

This has added relevance because the Bears traded DE Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers. The Bears could be in for a long season, which means players like Forte could be trade bait.
Not sure the #Cowboys would still be interested but would have to wonder w/ Forte in a contract year whether or not he's on the block #Bears

If the Bears truly want to blow up the roster and add more draft picks, moving a player like Forte would be an option. At the same time, Forte's age and expiring contract could limit how much the Bears receive in a trade.
BREAKING: Bears Trade LB Jon Bostic To Patriots
The Cowboys have Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and Christine Michael on the roster, but could deal for Forte if the price is right.
