Nick Foles is expected to be the Bears’ starting QB despite the franchise maintaining he will compete with Mitchell Trubisky. If Foles wins the job, could he win NFL Comeback Player of the Year? He’s one of the early favorites to win the award according to oddsmakers. The Bears’ QB competition won’t officially start until training camp begins at Halas Hall. The NFL announced that all 32 teams will have to conduct their training camps at home facilities. Chicago was already planning to do that, but one result of this initiative was having to cancel joint practices with the Denver Broncos.
Bears News focuses on the salary cap as Chicago picked up an additional $2.8 million in cap space with Trey Burton being a post-June 1st cut. The Bears are up to roughly $11 million in cap room now. Will Chicago target a player or two in NFL Free Agency?
