As the Chicago Bears offseason lingers on, one has to wonder what the Bears are going to do at quarterback. In his past two seasons with the Bears current QB Jay Cutler has been far from spectacular. In addition to his poor performance, his sloppy on-field attitude and demeanor have been heavily scrutinized by the Chicago faithful. Additionally, Cutler was sidelined for the latter portion of the 2011 season with a fractured thumb that eventually required surgery.
Thus, it seems quite plausible that the Bears could use their #19 overall pick to select a quarterback to bring some life back to Chicago. Assuming the Bears do not trade up for Andrew Luck or Russell Griffin III, the next best QB available is Ryan Tannehill from Texas A&M. Tannehill is a big guy, with good foot-speed, an excellent pocket presence, and great athleticism.
As the draft looms nearer, do not be surprised if the Bears start to take a closer look at the Aggie quarterback, because he provides some much needed skill for the struggling Bears offense. Incase you have not seen him play in the past, check out this excellent highlight video of Ryan Tanhehill while at Texas A&M.
