The Chicago Bears made the most surprising coaching move this offseason, firing their beloved coach Lovie Smith.
After starting the season 7-1, the Bears finished 10-6 and just narrowly missed the playoffs.
In nine seasons in Chicago, Smith took the Bears to the playoffs three times and made a Super Bowl appearance in 2006. Unfortunatley the standards are too high in Chicago, and Smith's performance was not enough for him to keep his job.

Just days after the firing of Smith, rumors are smarting to point towards Houston Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that the club has asked for and received permission to interview Houston Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison to fill the vacancy.
Dennison has a connection to Bears QB Jay Cutler and WR Brandon Marshall, as he was the offensive coordinator when the three of them were still with the Denver Broncos.
While Dennison has a lot on his plate this week as he prepares for the New England Patriots, he is expected to take an interview with the Bears sometime this week.
Dennison should be the Bears number one pick for the position, so look for them to make a full court press to bring him to the Windy City.
