In Bears news today, superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall is extremely grateful to the Chicago Bears for his new contract extension and is not afraid to show it.
Per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Marshall grew extremely emotional at a press conference on Thursday - attempting to put the last two years of career and personal growth into perspective:
“I probably wouldn’t even be having the success that I’m having on the field in that environment (in Miami). It wasn’t right for me. So I get back with my buddy Jay [Cutler] and having his leadership and his brotherly love really helped. But it was also the people. ... For me it’s a safe environment.”
Marshall called the March 2012 which brought him to the Chicago Bears "career saving." He has had well-documented struggles with borderline personality disorder for years, but his transition to Bears has done wonders in helping him to overcome the worst of it.
