Chicago Bears breakout candidates for 2020 features a lot of young players who are looking to take the next step in their careers this upcoming season. The Bears roster is loaded with young talent and David Montgomery, Anthony Miller & Roquan Smith are a part of a young core looking to breakout in the 2020 NFL Season. Chicago Bears Now host Harrison Graham breaks down his top five Bears breakout players IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW.
David Montgomery had a solid rookie season for the Bears as he started as a rotation RB, but emerged as the top back on the roster. Montgomery is poised to breakout in 2020 as he should be the lead RB from the get go and will likely be heavily featured both as a runner and a receiver. Anthony Miller took a step forward in 2019 after a so-so rookie season in 2018, but 2020 could be his best year yet. Miller has a chance to emerge as a force and the Bears’ true #2 WR. Fellow WR Javon Wims is hoping to breakout as well after showing flashes in 2019.
The Bears have one of the best defenses in the NFL, but still need players to breakout this season. Roquan Smith has been productive over his first two seasons, but hasn’t quite had a breakout season. With Nick Kwiatkoski leaving in NFL Free Agency, Chicago will rely heavily on Roquan Smith this year. Look for Roy Robertson-Harris to breakout also as the 2017 UDFA has slowly gotten better and better for the Bears.
