Yet another honour for Matildas superstar Sam Kerr as she's named the best female footballer in the world - with a higher ranking than Cristiano Ronaldo

The accolades keep coming for Sam Kerr, with the Matildas skipper named the best female footballer in the world.

Kerr, 29, also achieved a higher ranking than Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, according to EA Sports' soon-to-be-released FIFA 23 video game.

Chelsea striker Kerr was the equal top rated women's player, with an impressive overall rating of 91.

Spain's midfield maestro Alexia Putellas achieved the same ranking.

When broken down, Kerr's ball skills on the EA Sports game rate as 92 out of 100, her heading ability was at 91, finishing skills at 93 and agility 90.
