Bayer Levekusen have stated their desire to keep hold of prized asset Kai Havertz this summer, despite strong interest from Chelsea.
As revealed exclusively by Sportsmail last week, Chelsea are preparing to launch a transfer bid for the 20-year-old this summer.
Expected to seal the £53m transfer of RB Leipzig centre forward Timo Werner when the transfer window opens, Chelsea also want a young wide player to replace the outgoing Brazilian Willian and Spaniard Pedro.
And they have identified the £75m-rated Havertz as that player - although they face stiff competition from top European clubs.
