French newspaper L'Equipe has celebrated both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for standing firm and refusing to join the rest of European football's elite clubs in the controversial new Super League.
The so-called Big Six of the Premier League and a handful of European clubs have faced a furious backlash after the unveiling of proposals for a breakaway tournament on Sunday.
There were protests outside grounds around the UK on Monday at the scheme put forward by Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham together with six leading Spanish and Italian clubs.
