Leicester’s supporters at the King Power Stadium were not supposed to be shown the big-screen replay of their unawarded penalty which angered Steve Cooper during Saturday’s defeat by Chelsea – but were done so via a Stockley Park own goal.
It is understood the VAR replay operator tasked with working that Premier League clash accidentally sent the replay to the stadium’s two big screens.
It came after Stephy Mavididi had claimed he was tripped by Wesley Fofana inside of the box but neither the referee, Andy Madley, nor the VAR, Paul Tierney, saw it as a foul.
