They may be top of the table, but Premiership Chelsea were the butt of Jeremy Clarkson’s rather forthright brand of humour during a recent skit on The Grand Tour.
The outspoken presenter, 56, attempted to impress the club’s superstar players after paying a visit to their Cobham training ground in his imposing, custom built £14,000 Mercedes SL and Land Rover Discovery.
But after a contingent of foreign players, amongst them Spanish striker Diego Costa, Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard and goalkeeping compatriot Thibaut Courtois, offered opinions in their native tongue, Clarkson slyly duped them with the aid of an auto-cue machine.
