Thomas Tuchel 'turns down the opportunity to manage Bayer Leverkusen as German coach receives first job offer since being sacked by Chelsea'

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has turned down the chance to take charge of Bayer Leverkusen.

Tuchel was sacked on September 7 in the aftermath of Chelsea's Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

As reported by AS, Bayer Leverkusen were looking to persuade Tuchel to make a return to the Bundesliga.

However, the 49-year-old didn't have any interest in the job offer.

Leverkusen are still managed by Gerardo Seoane and have endured a miserable start to the season - they are in the relegation zone having taken just five points from eight games so far.
