Thiago Silva wants to stay at Chelsea despite new boss Mauricio Pochettino's plans for a defensive clearout... with the Brazilian, 38, keen to remain for Blues rebuild because his family are settled in London

Thiago Silva wants to stay at Chelsea to help incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino to rebuild the club after a poor season.

Pochettino does not officially begin his reign as Blues boss until July, but has been involved in speaking to players and making decisions about futures - including ending Joao Felix's time at Stamford Bridge.

Silva, 38, was one of many players who might have been moved on from the Blues in the summer revamp - but the Brazilian defender has made it clear that he wants to stay with Chelsea.
