Ray Wilkins has accused Chelsea’s players of downing tools on under-fire manager Antonio Conte after Monday’s stunning defeat to Watford left the Italian on the brink of the sack.
Conte’s side were beaten 4-1 by the rampant Hornets, meaning the reigning Premier League champions have now leaked seven goals in only two games, having been beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth last week.
The back-to-back humbling losses have piled the pressure on Conte, who is reportedly edging closer to an exit, but Wilkins says the manager is not solely to blame for the slump.
