Swansea boss Paul Clement has revealed how Carlo Ancelotti responded to his sacking at Chelsea in 2011 by going out in London for a ‘great night’ with the players.
Clement was Ancelotti’s assistant back then and he returns to Stamford Bridge on Saturday for the first time since the Italian was brutally fired by chief executive Ron Gourlay in the away dressing room at Everton after the last match of the season.
Chelsea had finished second in the league to Manchester United.
Clement smiles as he recalls the evening in a bar which followed.
