Sunderland signing Papy Djilobodji insists he was good enough for Chelsea and will prove them wrong

Papy Djilobodji only played a few minutes in a League Cup game for Chelsea against Walsall but is determined to show them what they missed out on.

Sunderland's new boy spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen from Stanford Bridge but has made a permanent switch to Wearside for £8million.

David Moyes secured the centre-back as his first signing and Djilobodji told L'Equipe: ''There are plenty of people who say that I wasn't good enough for Chelsea.
