'Sergeant' Frank Lampard's 'controlling style is driving unhappy Emerson Palmieri towards Chelsea exit' as Juventus and Inter Milan eye £28m bids for wantaway left-back

Frank Lampard's management style has put Emerson Palmieri on the brink of quitting Chelsea, according to Italian media.

Emerson lost his place in Lampard's team to Marcos Alonso in the weeks before the season was postponed, adding to a frustrating spell since he joined from Roma in January 2018.

He is unhappy with Lampard's level of control over his players, viewing him as a 'sergeant', and does not like his training methods, report Tuttosport.

Both Juventus and Inter Milan are said to be interested in the Brazilian-born left-back, 25, with Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte interested in re-signing the player they had managed in England.
