Matildas star Sam Kerr will go on trial next month for racially abusing a police officer.
The 31-year-old faced Kingston Crown Court in London on Tuesday, hoping the charge would be dismissed, but was committed to stand trial from Feb. 3.
The Chelsea striker is alleged to have insulted, threatened, or caused alarm or distress to a police office while returning home in a taxi following a night out with her fiancee Kristie Mewis on January 30, 2023.
Kerr allegedly labelled PC Stephen Lovell a 'stupid white b*****d' after he spoke to her regarding a dispute over the taxi fare.
