There are fears over the safety of West Ham and Chelsea supporters after it emerged police are unlikely to be inside the London Stadium when the rival clubs meet in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
Crowd trouble has been evident during the opening fixtures of West Ham’s first campaign at the former Olympic Stadium, with incidents against Bournemouth and Watford in the Premier League and Astra in the Europa League.
Chelsea are entitled to a visiting allocation of 5,700 tickets for the tie, which will take place in the week starting October 24 — although their allocation may be reduced.
