Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman says Ross Barkley must ‘prove he is still the player he was’ amid reports he is close to a £15million move to Chelsea.
Barkley is out of contract at Goodison Park at the end of the season and Toffees boss Sam Allardyce admitted on Thursday the club are ‘resigned to losing him’.
Chelsea were close to landing him in the summer, with the 24-year-old ultimately choosing the stay in Merseyside to complete his rehab from hamstring surgery, but they have now revived their interest with a £15m bid.
