Rome are reportedly monitoring Olivier Giroud's situation at Chelsea with a view to a move for the Frenchman as a replacement for Edin Dzeko.
Roma skipper Dzeko has fallen out-of-favour with manager Paulo Fonseca after a disagreement between the pair following the Coppa Italia defeat to Spezia on January 19.
The Bosnian now wants to reportedly leave the club but the prospect of a swap deal with Real Madrid's Mariano Diaz has collapsed after the former Lyon man rejected a move to the Italian capital, according to Corriere dello Sport.
