Chelsea have slipped to second in Champions League Group C after crashing to defeat in Rome on Tuesday night.
Antonio Conte's side found themselves behind after only 39 seconds as Stephan El Shaarawy crashed home from the edge of the penalty area.
Things went from bad to worse for Conte when the Italian then punished a sloppy error from Antonio Rudiger to double the home side's lead in the 36th minute.
A stunning Diego Perotti strike from 20 yards then put the result beyond doubt just after the hour-mark.
