Frank Lampard's Chelsea face an uphill task to make the Champions League semi-finals after being beaten 2-0 by Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
The visitors started brightly with Joao Felix testing Thibaut Courtois inside two minutes, but Madrid started to get on top as the first half wore on as they took the lead in the 22nd minute. It was no surprise who got the opening goal, with Karim Benzema tapping home from close range after Vinicius Jnr's initial effort had been kept out by Kepa.
Things went from bad to worse just before the hour mark when Ben Chilwell was shown a straight red card for pulling back Rodrygo when he was through on goal.
