Petr Cech insists he is '100 per cent ready' to be called upon for Chelsea after his shock inclusion in Frank Lampard's Premer League squad as the club's technical advisor claims a year out of the game gave him 'energy'

Chelsea legend Petr Cech insists he is ready to be selected for the club after being named in Frank Lampard's 25-man Premier League squad, despite retiring from the game in 2019.

Cech, now the club's technical advisor, was a shock inclusion as an emergency goalkeeper last month, with the Blues suffering a crisis in between the sticks before signing Rennes shot stopper Eduoard Mendy.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, a £72million signing, has suffered an error-prone spell, while Willy Caballero has not injected confidence into the squad either, forcing Lampard to name the 38-year-old - although he insisted Cech's inclusion was 'not for the romance'.
