Monaco shutting up shop after £40m Tiemoue Bakayoko sale, dealing blow to Arsenal's move for Thomas Lemar

Monaco will try to pull down the shutters on their summer sale after Tiemoue Bakayoko completes his move to Chelsea, which is bad news for Arsenal and their pursuit of Thomas Lemar.

Bakayoko will have a medical in London on Friday before completing a deal worth £40million plus add-ons and following Bernardo Silva from the French champions to the Premier League.

Silva has joined Manchester City in a deal which starts at £43m and could be worth up to £62m if he triggers all the bonuses.

City also want left-back Benjamin Mendy and Monaco will listen if the bidding goes higher than the £54m deal struck to sign right-back Kyle Walker from Tottenham.
