Mateo Kovacic's permanent deal at Chelsea is reportedly hanging in the balance with Blues manager Maurizio Sarri edging closer to joining Juventus.
Chelsea are able to sign the Real Madrid loanee despite submitting a formal appeal against FIFA's transfer ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as his loan spell at Stamford Bridge last season means he is registered at the club.
However, the Premier League outfit are reconsidering whether to sign him permanently with Sarri set to move to the Serie A champions, according to The Evening Standard.
