Manchester City 'had approach for Harry Kane rejected in January' with Pep Guardiola's side set to ramp up their efforts to land the striker who now wants to leave Tottenham

Manchester City are said to have already had one approach rejected by Tottenham in their pursuit of Harry Kane.

The Tottenham star has told the club that he wishes to leave in the summer, as he seeks a fresh start in a bid to improve his chances of winning trophies.

Pep Guardiola's side are among the interested parties for Kane, with rivals Manchester United and Chelsea also said to be considering a move.
