Laurent Blanc insists Lyon have 'guaranteed' star right-back Malo Gusto will be STAYING with the club past January after they rejected the Blues initial bid, dashing Graham Potter and Chelsea's hopes of splashing more cash in the transfer window

Lyon manager Laurent Blanc has shot down Chelsea's hopes of signing talented right-back Malo Gusto during the January transfer window.

Graham Potter's side had hoped to bring in the 19-year-old and take their spending for this month to well above £200m, but Blanc suggested that would not be the case.

Lyon's president Jean-Michel Aulas had already spoken to media about Gusto remaining in France this week, prior to Blanc's reaffirming press conference.
