Kasey Palmer has signed a new four-year contract at Chelsea to open the door to a renewed loan spell at Huddersfield Town next season.
Palmer, 20, starred in a spell at the John Smith's Stadium in the last campaign to help the Terriers to promotion to the Premier League.
But Chelsea were keen to keep hold of the promising winger and have now extended his contract until 2021. Palmer is now likely to be allowed to go out on loan again.
Huddersfield manager David Wagner has been keen on a reunion with Chelsea pair Palmer and Izzy Brown, after the pair both played key roles in his Championship play-off triumph.
