Julian Nagelsmann PULLS OUT of the running to be Chelsea manager after growing frustrated with talks... leaving just Mauricio Pochettino, shock pick Vincent Kompany and one other mystery candidate on the shortlist

Chelsea’s managerial search has taken a dramatic twist after Julian Nagelsmann pulled out of the race to take over the Stamford Bridge club.

The Londoners were informed that Nagelsmann no longer wished to be considered having grown frustrated with the process.

While Chelsea have maintained there was no favourite for the job and the hunt was open, Nagelsmann was widely considered the leading contender and the preferred candidate of key figures among the Stamford Bridge hierarchy.

However Chelsea, who held face-to-face talks with Nagelsmann last week, have been keen to carry out a thorough search involving discussions with a number of candidates.
