Trying to tempt John Terry out of international retirement would have been top of Harry Redknapp's to-do list, had he been appointed England manager.
The Chelsea defender felt he had no option than to retire from England duty in 2012, after the FA launched a disciplinary hearing against him for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand. He was later found guilty despite being cleared in a court of law.
New England boss Sam Allardyce has suggested he would like to speak to Terry about a possible return but Redknapp, who himself has previously been linked with the job, insisted he would have been on the phone to the Chelsea defender almost immediately after taking the position.
