John Terry suggests there is an 'untold side' to Mason Mount's acrimonious £60m Chelsea exit - and asks fans 'not to be too harsh' when he returns to Stamford Bridge with Man United

John Terry has suggested that there is an 'untold side' to Mason Mount's acrimonious exit from Chelsea and urged Blues fans 'not to be too harsh' on the Manchester United star when he returns to Stamford Bridge.

Mount, who joined the Red Devils for £60million this summer, was locked in contract talks with Chelsea last season after reportedly demanding a salary comparable to highest-paid Blues player Raheem Sterling.

The Chelsea academy graduate was a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge for several seasons under Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter, but now he is condemned among the Blues fanbase for choosing to sign with Premier League rivals Manchester United.
