Rangers boss Philippe Clement insists it’s ‘too early’ for Jefte to join a club like Chelsea after his Brazilian left-back was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the transfer window closing on Monday, Clement played down talk of interest in the 21-year-old by stressing that the player will be best served by staying and developing in Glasgow.
Clement was asked about Jefte, who joined the Ibrox club from Fluminense for £700,000 last summer, after reports claimed Chelsea had made initial contact with the player’s representatives to ask about a potential switch.
