Jamie Carragher admits he was 'delighted' to see Everton score in victory over Chelsea after travelling supporters sung 'nonsense' Feed the Scousers chant

Jamie Carragher admitted he was delighted to see Liverpool's rivals Everton score against Chelsea after the travelling fans sung 'Feed the Scousers' during Sunday's Premier League clash.

Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the home side the lead shortly after half-time and the Blues supporters proceeded to sing the song that is deemed to be highly offensive.

The chant, which is sung to the tune of Band Aid's Christmas song 'Feed the World' has been around since 1984 when the Christmas hit was first released.

The meaning of Feed The Scousers chant is derogatory and implies that Liverpool fans are poor or hungry and that they rely on handouts to survive.
