Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell told team-mate Mason Mount his hamstring 'popped' during his side's 2-1 Champions League win against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday, leaving his chances of making the World Cup in ruins.
With the clock ticking down and Chelsea on course for their fourth group stage win, Chilwell went down in stoppage time clutching the back of his left leg.
After receiving treatment, Chilwell had to be helped from the pitch and passed by Mount who asked him what had happened. BT Sport cameras appeared to pick up Chilwell's response as he mouthed 'it's popped', leaving Mount visibly upset for the defender.
