Inter Milan have only one name on their list of candidates to replace Stefano Piolo, who was sacked as manager on Tuesday. And that is Antonio Conte.
The Italian side are set to heighten their efforts to bring the Italian back to his homeland after one season in London, where he has led Chelsea to the brink of the Premier League title.
According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday, newly appointed sporting director Walter Sabatini has been tasked with landing Conte, who has already been pursued by Inter for weeks.
Conte has hinted in the past that he is happy to stay at Chelsea beyond this season.
