Thorgan Hazard has revealed his Chelsea departure came as no surprise as he sought regular game-time.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder admitted he knew he would leave Stanford Bridge as the culture was to ship young players out on loan.
Having developed his game in Germany, Hazard reflected that perhaps Chelsea might regret their decision to allow former players to leave having chosen not to involve them as youngsters.
He told Het Nieuwsblad: 'I knew I would not stay at Chelsea when I signed for them.
