'I have never seen a player make such a statement': Karl-Heinz Rummenigge blasts RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner after Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea target says he prefers a move abroad over Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hit out at Timo Werner after the RB Leipzig distanced himself from a transfer to the German giants.

Werner is one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming window with Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all keen to land the striker.

Bayern are also interested in the 24-year-old but it's apparent that those feeling are not reciprocated following Werner's recent comments.

'If a change should become an issue at some point, I would rather take a step abroad than switch to Bavaria,' the 24-year-old told Bild.
