John Terry has wished Frank Lampard well after his former teammate returned to Chelsea as caretaker manager.
The 44-year-old has been placed in the role until the end of the season following Graham Potter's sacking last weekend, just two years after he was sacked at the end of his first spell as Blues boss.
Lampard led his first training session on Thursday with players generally seeming pleased with the appointment, especially those who had thrived under him before such as Mason Mount.
Terry wrote 'good luck mate' in response to Chelsea's tweet announcing the appointment, which led to fans urging the former England captain to join Lampard's staff at Stamford Bridge.
