Mason Mount looks certain to miss England's key clash against Albania on Friday night to deliver Gareth Southgate a significant selection blow.
Chelsea star Mount underwent dental surgery to remove four wisdom teeth on Sunday and has not reported for international duty.
In a statement on Monday, the FA said they were monitoring Mount's situation - raising hope he could be available for the World Cup qualifier against Albania, where victory would all but guarantee their passage to Qatar 2022.

But it is understood Mount will not make Friday's game at Wembley, while it remains unclear whether he will be fit enough to travel to San Marino on Sunday for the final qualifier.
