Frank Lampard confirms Thiago Silva, N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount are all in contention to face Real Madrid, with the Chelsea caretaker calling on his players to 'develop into leaders' in their Champions League quarter-final

Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has confirmed Thiago Silva, N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount are in contention to face Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.

Silva only returned to training this week with the 38-year-old having been unavailable since picking up a knee injury since February.

The veteran Brazilian has been one of Chelsea's top performers in a difficult season.

Chelsea have struggled in his absence, with the Blues having picked up just one point and have failed to score in their past three games.
