Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said his team lacked "personality" in their 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Boxing Day.
After an impressive 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last time out in the Premier League, the Blues were big favourites for the clash at Stamford Bridge. However, they were condemned to a third successive home defeat in the top flight, following on from losses to West Ham United and Bournemouth.
Following this latest setback, Lampard was frustrated at his players for making the same errors as they did in previous encounters, per David Hytner of the Guardian:
"I’ll probably give you the exact same press conference as I gave after Bournemouth.
