Four Chelsea football fans convicted in Paris of racist violence

Four Chelsea football supporters, including a former policeman, have gone on trial in Paris for racist violence over allegations they pushed a black man who tried to board a metro train.

The fans, who were in the French capital for a match between their team and Paris Saint Germain in February 2015, were among supporters who chanted: 'We are racist, we are racist and that's the way we like it'.

They deny their acts were racist in nature, but could face prison terms if convicted.
