Having hung up his boots in 2023 after a four-year stint with Brazilian club Flamengo, the individual assumed head coaching duties in September 2024.
His introduction to being a manager could not have gone much better since then - as he has guided the Brazilian side to three trophies while losing just one game in 27.
He enjoyed an impressive playing career with lengthy stints at Atletico Madrid either side of being part of Jose Mourinho's Premier League-winning Chelsea side in the 2014-15 season.
