Andre Villas-Boas is looking forward to his next career move, despite it being worlds away from football management.

The former Tottenham and Chelsea manager is now looking ahead to participating in the Dakar Rally endurance race, after resigning from his post as Shanghai SIPG boss in November.

As a manager, the 40-year-old is now stranger to a bumpy ride, but AVB will have to have his wits about him if he is to successfully navigate the 5,500-mile off-road journey through South America, but according to The Times, insisted he is up to the task.

'Motor racing is in my blood and has been my passion since I was a little boy,' he explained, before referencing the famed Enzo Ferrari as his justification for taking such risk in a race that has claimed the lives of 70 people since its inception in 1978.
