Fernando Torres has made the first steps of what is hoped to be a fruitful coaching career with the former Spain international overseeing Atletico Madrid's B team.
The World Cup winner hung up his boots in 2019, having dazzled in the Premier League with Liverpool and Chelsea, then returning to Madrid to play for Diego Simeone's side before ending his career in Japan with Sagan Tosu.
Torres, 36, moved back to the Spanish capital to take up a coaching role with the club in September 2020, where he has been making steady progress in his new career.
