Mason Mount has revealed that he's been left 'baffled' by his rise to prominence with Chelsea, the England star has clocked up over 100 appearances for the Blues as well as winning the Champions League.
Such heady heights seemed almost impossible to fathom when the 22-year-old was on loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County between 2017-19. However, he was given an opportunity to impress under Frank Lampard who he worked with at Pride Park and since then Mount's rapid ascent has shown no signs of slowing down.
Mount, who saw his former mentor replaced as Chelsea boss by Thomas Tuchel in January; spoke to the club's official website about his evolution from loan spells to becoming a mainstay of the Blues' team.
