Ross Barkley could make a sensational return to Goodison Park next month with Everton reportedly interested in a loan move for the Chelsea star.

Barkley, 28, left Merseyside for west London four years ago for £15million, but injuries and a lack of game time has hampered the England international's progress with the Blues.

And according to The Telegraph, Barkley is among a number of January loan targets for Toffees boss Rafa Benitez, who is desperate to bolster his injury-ravaged squad for the latter half of the campaign.
