Daniel Sturridge claims 'centre-backs have had more shots' than Rasmus Hojlund as offers advice to struggling Man United star

Daniel Sturridge has urged goal-shy Rasmus Hojlund to be more selfish in order to recover from his slump at Manchester United.

The Norwegian has endured a miserable campaign at Old Traffords, scoring only three times in 28 appearances in his second season since a £72million transfer from Atalanta.

Hojlund has not been aided by the woeful form of the Red Devils, who sit 14th in the table and on are course to record their worst-ever Premier League campaign.

Sturridge, who enjoyed spells in the top flight with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea, believes that the 22-year-old must do more to have more attempts in goal.
